Sunday, December 21, 2025 – Isaiah 7:10-16, Psalm 80:1-7, 17-19, Romans 1:1-7, Matthew 1:18-25 How many of you have a dog? I used to have two dogs. Now I have two cats who I love my cats very much, but I miss my dogs. Sometimes that feeling is so intense that my heart literally hurts.
I had to say goodbye to my beloved little terrier mix, Bobby, on November 17, 2023. I knew the time was coming near, but foreknowledge is no help when your heart is breaking. I’d had to say goodbye to my beloved lab mix, Cotton, in May of 2021, and that was still a tender wound.
